Great Pack for Weekend Adventures

This pack is great for day trips but my review is focusing on it as a weekend or light weight 2 day hike pack.1. Weight - I was able to really move on the trails with this pack, granted my other backpacking friends had larger technical packs, this allows you to bring everything you need for a weekend adventure. If you're looking to go the distance, at around 1lb, this is a good light pack to carry.2. Size - 25L is small, but I managed to have my sleeping bag with a compression sack fit horizontally on the bottom, with my Primus LiTech Trek Kettle (Gray) on top (contains stove and butane), the main part of the tent (partner carried tent cover), food, and extra socks, flashlight, and other miscellaneous items.... Needless to say, I found a way to make it work for me. You have to pack smart, but it will work.3. Tents - If you're carrying a tent with this, your tent poles fit nicely in the outer side pocket, not ideal for some, but it works with the adjustable straps holding them tight. I also have a Camelbak Podium Big Chill 25 oz Bottle on the right side for easy access to water for cooking or drinking water for when camp is set.. (picking up your entire backpack just for a drink can be annoying)In summary, when my girlfriend who has the Camelbak Aventura 100 oz Hydration Pack and I were preparing for our first outing, we came to the conclusion that CamelBak thinks of everything. The build quality and features make this my main pack for hiking.Also, I recommend buying a CamelBak Bite Valve Cover.. Keeps the valve clean and in good condition.

I just finished a hundred plus mile hike along the Cornwall coast and carried the pack every mile. From the beginning, I found the pack comfortable and well-designed. No detail has been overlooked: mesh on the back for ventilation; abundant and clever storage space in back, on the sides, and on the waist; the water bladder suspended in its compartment to balance its weight; water repellent; several methods of tightening and loosening the shoulder and chest straps...It is rare to find a piece of equipment that exceeds expectations, let alone meets them; this pack does. I recommend it without reservation.

Excellent hydration pack for a day out on the bike or a hike on one of your favorite trails. Very comfortable, light weight with plenty of air flow around the pack so your back doesn't get all sweaty. Seems to be well constructed with enough space for the basics: wallet, keys, cell phone, light snack, a shirt or light towel. There are a lot of places to hang things from like hiking poles. Well worth the money. Excellent Hydration Pack.
