Not what I ordered. It was described AND pictured as having a handle. It arrived... NO HANDLE. It is not a mess tin its a storage box. Good quality Aluminum you will need to take a file to the edges though as they are very sharp !!! Couldn't even be bothered to send it back. Its a miscellaneous screws and nails bin in my garage! Perfect for backpacking or a survival kit

I'm an avid and experienced outdoorsman. Like any good outdoorsman, I always have my survival kit with me (straight out of SAS Survival Handbook, Revised Edition: For Any Climate, in Any Situation) and this tin is the mainstay of my kit. It's the perfect size to hold everything I need as part of my suvival kit and it fits perfectly into either a pouch on my pack or my cargo pocket. When combined with a Wetfire Stove, you have the perfect combination to cook or purify water in any backpacking or survival situation. Granted, this tin isn't "ideal" for someone who intends to use it primarily for heating and drinking coffee, etc. Obviously if that is your intended purpose, you'd be wise to bring along your own stainles steel camping cup. But for the size, versatility, and utility of this tin, if you've only got room for one of them in your kit, you can't beat this one.**As indicated by another reviewer, Trangia makes TWO VERSIONS of this product; one WITH a handle and one WITHOUT (both are advertised on Amazon). Read carefully and make sure you get the one you're looking for**

Not as pictured!

Great product if you want the one without the handle. The product description at the time of purchase was not there. So i went off of the picture. I received the version without the handle. So be cautious when ordering.
